EQD Camp
Equine Differences offers camp every summer to children beginning at age 8, so they can get to know what it's like to take care of a horse.
Below is an article about the farm and summer camp that was featured in the Morning Journal.
The view from the saddle
Summer Camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
We begin the day with feeding the horses at 9:00 AM and everyday campers learn something new. Along with learning to ride there will be a veterinarian, saddle fitter, and a blacksmith that will speak to the campers.
Campers will also learn:
- Safety around horses
- Learn to ride English and Western
- Bathe and clip a horse for a show
- Groom, saddle and bridle a horse
- How to clean a stall
Every day each camper will ride a horse.
There are 4-6 kids for each camp session, supervised by 2 adult instructors and 1 instructor aide. Each camper must bring a packed lunch & drinks. During lunch campers will watch instructors give an actual lesson.
We also recommend a bandana to wear under their helmet.
